Questa's Page

Questa was our baby, fun loving, mischievous, intelligent - you name it and that was Questa. Although during her lifetime she did quite well in the show ring you never knew from one show to the next how she would behave in the ring. She certainly kept you on your toes. Just when you thought everything was going well and she was going to behave, a mischievous little grin would spread across her face and suddenly there would be a hop, skip and a jump if she was parading her stuff around the ring or a little wriggle if the judge was going over her and her specialty, just as the judge was approaching, was half a dozen barks in quick succession then a look as if to say “Who said that?” “Not me!”.

Questa had one litter and gave us our present Elkhounds, Mindy and Rikki, plus Millie who lives in America. We had hoped to have more puppies from her but disaster struck in May 2001 whilst she was in the process of whelping and unfortunately we lost our baby and her unborn puppies.

Questa never became a champion in the eyes of the UK Kennel Club but she was our Champion and we were and still are extremely proud of her and miss her terribly.
